Quite possible in case there are no protection measures. We all know that fumigants can exterminate insects available on goods. Upon fumigation, the gas is diffused out of the consignment so that goods can return to their normal status for initial usage purpose. If one consignment which meets fumigation requirements (all insects be exterminated) is protected and quite isolated from outside infestation, insects will not be able to penetrate into it. However, in practice, we can not control everything at all time. Therefore, both consignor and fumigation company need to be fully aware of reasons for insect re-infestation and measures.
