Seminar on “Supplying Agricultural Products and Fumigation for Import–Export Goods”

With the aim of bringing practical experience and valuable industry insights to students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), on the afternoon of October 8, 2022, the university’s faculty, in collaboration with Vietnam Fumigation Joint Stock Company (VFC) and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture, organized a specialized seminar titled “Supplying Clean Agricultural Products – Agricultural Market Days and Fumigation of Import–Export Goods and Vessels” for more than 1,200 students majoring in logistics and supply chain management.

The seminar was lively and informative, featuring Ms. Tran Huynh Giang Thanh from the Agricultural Advisory and Support Center, HCMC Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, who shared insights on clean food supply and market demand; and Mr. Ho Duy Hung, technical lead of VFC, who provided students with practical knowledge about fumigation of cargo and vessels, as well as fumigation requirements in international trade contracts.

Students attending the seminar received in-depth information about job characteristics, technical requirements and relevant industry practices from VFC and the HCMC Department of Agriculture, along with clear answers to their questions on the topic. 

At the end of the seminar, the university representative emphasized the value of partnerships with businesses, especially in providing internships, job opportunities, and soft-skill and professional training for students. Strong collaborations today will form the foundation for broader cooperation in the future, strengthening the connection between Businesses – Universities – Students.
